Does Good Planet Olive Oil Cheese Shreds Melt?

Yes! Yes! The cheese spreads and is very gooey. It does not have the stickiness of many non-dairy alternatives. When melting, we put more mozzarella on one side and less cheddar on the other.

We found that less is better. It doesn't take much to get a good melting and coverage. You may need to cook more to achieve a good melting if you use more.

The Overall View

We want to draw your attention to a few points.

  • We love the flavor and taste of this new non-dairy olive oil cheese from Good Planet. They have done a fantastic job!
  • Although the cheese blocks and cubes have different names, they are identical in taste and appearance. We like the look of blocks better than cubes and would buy blocks in future to cut ourselves.
  • The cheese shreds melted very well. Less is more. The texture of the food was not sticky, which was great.
  • No weird taste was left behind by any of the products.
  • The new olive oil cheeses are free of top 9 allergens, which is great news for those who have allergies and need allergy-friendly options.
  • The olive feta blocks are delicious with crackers. Even though I don't care for olives, the olive feta was delicious with crackers.
  • The feta does not crumble as much as dairy feta.
  • These products are a great addition to vegan charcuterie board.
