It is important to reduce carbohydrate intake to maintain ketosis and to burn fat. Some fruits can still be part of a balanced keto diet.

You should consider whether or no fruit is better than sugary treats when deciding whether the keto diet is right. However, you must remember that fresh fruits are more nutritious than sugary treats.


Can I eat a dairy free keto diet?

Absolutely! Yes! Keto diet plans aim to reduce carb intake and increase healthy fats. However, there are plenty of plant-based alternative options to choose from to stay within your chosen guidelines.

First, find the proteins and fats that work for you. Alternatives to traditional dairy sources such as butter include avocado oil (tahini), coconut oil, nut butter, and tahini. Meat substitutes (including tofu and tempeh) can be used as an alternative source of protein, with nuts and seeds providing excellent crunchy textures.

If you are looking for sweets, creamy coconut cream or plant-based yogurts work well as substitutes for heavy cream. Vegan cheeses made with cashews and macadamia nuts can be substituted for dairy cheese by cheese lovers.

Don't forget to add other seasonings to make your dishes stand out. Regardless of what ingredients are excluded, herbs, spices and vinegar can be used to enhance the unique taste of foods. As long as you remember the principles of the ketogenic diet while simultaneously recognizing tasty solutions around those food restrictions, you'll be able to maintain a successful dairy-free keto plan!
