Introduce yourself.

Hello, my name is Lindsay Wilson. I am a mother of two children aged 43 and married to Darren for ten years.

Darren was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and had high cholesterol. The doctor tried to prescribe statins, but Darren refused. He took a diet chart that the nurse gave him.

I also had digestive problems. I was on omeprazole since 2005 due to silent reflux, chronic gastritis and chronic acid reflux.

I had joint pains and lower back issues.

As a child, I always ate low-fat "healthy" foods. There was never a full-fat product in my house.

I always had low energy, and I had endometriosis. I also suffered from recurrent ovarian cysts.

I was convinced that Keto would be a good idea when Darren brought his diet plan home. I did some research and found Maria Emmerich, Dave Fieldman, and a few other people who were also convinced.

It was a big leap of faith for me because my diet was not good before and I thought fat was bad.

After the initial phase, my reflux improved and my joints felt better.

We knew that we were on the right track when we felt better the more we adhered to the diet.

What did you eat prior to Carnivore?

Before that, my diet was high in sugar. I used to eat tons of biscuits, jelly sweets, and cereals.

Why did you first try Carnivore?

Carnivore was a natural progression, to be honest. I felt 80% more energetic with keto, but I still wanted to increase my protein intake.

I came across some people on social media that had taken a totally meat approach. I began to research the benefits of this method.

I began to introduce meat-only days into my weekly schedule and lessen the effort of cooking many sides.

What is your personal approach to the Carnivore Diet?

One thing I love about this style of eating is its simplicity, but I also like to eat a variety of meats.

I eat chicken, beef, pork, lamb and seafood. I also make bone broth from pigs' feet and consume it for collagen. I couldn't give up dairy, so I included cheese, and I started drinking raw milk just recently.

What are the benefits you have seen since beginning the Carnivore Diet?

The benefits are many, even my hair and skin look better. I'm no longer taking medication for reflux. And an endoscopy showed that there was no inflammation.

My joint pain has almost disappeared and I am so energized that I've taken up running! !

The pain from endometriosis is so low that I no longer take pain medication.

The biggest change has been my mood. I wake up every morning feeling energised, and I look forward to the days ahead.

What are the negatives of the Carnivore Diet?

I thought about the negatives, but I was honest. I just think of the social aspect and trying to convince my physician that my wonderful health changes are due to my diet.

If you exercise, how and when?

I used to do very little exercise. I would ride my horse occasionally and go to the gym once, but then give up. Now I swim and run and have bought weights for home use! I am stronger and more active than ever before.

What advice would you offer someone who has been considering this diet but isn't ready to make the jump?

It's time to go! You could change your life.

Do you believe Carnivore diet will be accepted by the mainstream?

I think so. The more people that see the benefits, the more likely they are to try it.

Lazy keto offers a more accessible approach with generous carbs intake restrictions.
