When I tell you that this Protein Rich Crustless Quiche might be one of my new favorite meals for any time of day, I mean it! Savory and filling plus 16 grams of protein in one slice!
I know I know, everything’s about protein right now with my recipes. But y’all, I’m really trying not to shrivel up and I am learning so much about how vital protein is for an aging body so I’m all in! If you missed my Gluten Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bread or my Protein Packed Salad Dressing, make sure to check those out too!
This week so far I’ve made my Chicken Lettuce Wraps and my Paleo Cowboy Chili, both favorites of everyone who tries them (I mean for the most part – some people clearly have no taste). And I wanted to make a quiche tonight, or something like it. Recently Sadie, my middle, told me how much she loves sauteed zucchini so I figured that would be a great addition to this quiche. And then I started thinking – what if I loaded up the protein in this dish like I have in my other new recipes lately, and off I went.
I was curious how cottage cheese would do in quiche if I blended it until creamy and OMG, it’s fantastic. So between the 14g protein in that, the 36g in the 6 eggs, the 18g in the collagen, plus the cheeses and bacon, we’re talking about 16g of protein in 1/8 of the pan! And if you eat more like my kids and husband do, you’re upwards of 30g or more protein in your dinner. It’s so filling and delicious too – I think making this ahead for breakfast and pulling out a slice throughout the week might just be my next plan.
So if you’re also trying to figure out ways to increase your protein consumption, give this one a go – I think you’ll be shocked just how much flavor AND protein is baked into one pan.
Protein Rich Crustless Quiche

Frequently Asked Questions
How can you make the Paleo Diet work for you?
You don't have to be a master of the Paleo Diet in order to succeed. With the right guidance, you can be well on your way to a healthier lifestyle and feel better than ever.
Experimenting with new foods, discovering what ingredients are truly beneficial for your body, and understanding how your current habits may be holding you back from optimal health can all be made simple and effective with helpful tips from experts in the Paleo field.
It's an exciting process to learn how the Paleo Diet works for you. You may be able to explore different ideas and make small adjustments over time to help you live a better life.
You can start by assessing what foods provide valuable nutrients that will help improve energy, digestion, overall mood, mental clarity, and physical functioning - all components of strong health! Staying motivated is as simple as learning which nutrition choices best suit your body. This will help you avoid avoiding certain food groups.
Achieving balance through consistency involves understanding moderation in portions and being mindful of when enough is enough without guilt. It's not about changing your patterns; it's about creating lasting changes.
The transformative power of experiencing real benefits from a nutritious diet cannot go unnoticed or underestimated. The power of taking control of what goes into your body is immense. So take control now and see why the Paleo Diet makes sense!
What fruits are Paleo-friendly?
Fabulous! The Paleo diet is a wonderful place to begin a journey to nutrition and well-being. Paleo eating means that you adapt your diet to foods available before agriculture, like seafood, lean meats and fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
This way of eating reduces inflammation by eliminating processed foods and added sugars. Saying goodbye to these things also allows room for delicious, whole foods full of nutrients that strengthen your health.
Paleo is a diet that includes fruits. These fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin C in strawberries, oranges, and bananas. Other fruits include apples, pears, lemons, limes, melons, berries, papaya, and mangoes. They all contain the antioxidants your body requires to perform at its best.
You can make smoothies with different fruits, or create sweet treats from dates and other dried fruits.
Your body will be nourished with powerful antioxidants, so it is important to ensure you are getting enough nutrients. Fruits can give you energy, but they don't have to be heavy. So get creative and combine fruits with other meals throughout the day.
Who Shouldn't Follow the Paleo Diet
Paleo Diet is not recommended for anyone who needs a quick fix. The Paleo Diet is not about quick and drastic changes, but sustainable lifestyle changes that last a lifetime. People who are determined to lose weight may see results only after a few months.
The Paleo Diet also isn't ideal for anyone with any kind of dietary restrictions or food allergies--particularly gluten avoidance, as some grains aren't appropriate choices. Paleolithic dishes can make people who are sensitive to high levels of protein feel overwhelmed.
People who constantly switch between diets won't see any benefit. The goal is to stick to one routine, even if it involves changing some ingredients. The commitment level is essential when committing to the Paleo Diet, so frequent diet jumpers should look elsewhere.
This lifestyle is not for everyone.
Can I have as much fruit on paleo as I want?
You may be surprised to know that paleo doesn't allow you to eat processed snacks. Instead, it emphasizes meals and snacks made of whole foods our ancestors might have consumed: fruits, veggies, nuts, and even meats.
How much fruit is safe to eat? The answer largely depends on your individual nutritional needs. The Paleo diet does not limit the amount of fruit you can eat, but it can increase your risk for many issues such as weight gain or blood sugar changes.
For extra nutrients and fibre, we recommend eating 1-2 servings per day of fresh fruit (1/2 cup to 1 Cup depending on the fruit) or frozen/dried fruits. But no more that two tablespoons at one time. When you have a craving, choose to eat belly-filling fibre sources such as apples, melons and berries.
Additionally, add low-sugar options like avocados or olives, which are also high in healthy fats; these two groups will make up the bulk of your diet while excluding refined starches and high-sugar fruits.
Paleo is all about moderation and incorporating other nutrients. Paleo encourages you to indulge in delicious ripe fruits. Don't forget about enjoying your food!
What are the Paleo-friendly benefits?
Paleo offers many potential health benefits. This diet emphasizes eating whole, unprocessed foods. These include:
- Improved digestion: Eating nutrient-dense, fibre-rich foods help to support healthy digestion and regularity.
- Reduced inflammation: Avoiding processed and refined ingredients can reduce inflammation in your body.
- Balanced blood sugar levels: Eating low-glycemic index foods helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce cravings for sugary snacks.
- Increased energy: Nutrient-dense food can increase your energy and keep you energized all day.
- Paleo diets can improve mental clarity. They can also help focus and increase cognitive function.
- Paleo diet for weight loss: It is low in calories, and high in fibre.
- Better cardiovascular health: Eat lean proteins, healthy oils, and lots of fruits and veggies to lower your risk of developing heart disease.
- You can lower your chance of developing chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer and other autoimmune disorders by eating a nutritious diet.

How To
How do I incorporate exercise into a paleo diet?
For optimal health, it is important to strike the right balance between nutrition and exercise. Even though it is possible to achieve this balance, it can be challenging to keep it up, especially if your diet restricts you. Because paleo excludes many food groups, including dairy, grains, and legumes, it can be tricky to navigate.
Good news! It is not difficult to incorporate exercise into your paleo lifestyle. It's important to consider how you can make your day more active. If you are seated for a long time, this could be as simple as taking a 10 minute walk after dinner.
Another route to consider is high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which involves alternating between periods of intense activity followed by short rest breaks. This type is quick and effective, taking only 20 minutes. The HIIT exercises such as burpees and jumping jacks can be done by beginners or more experienced trainers.
Don't be afraid of mixing up traditional endurance activities like running, cycling, and swimming. These activities can burn calories as well as provide mental health benefits such stress relief and endorphin boosters. These are great ways to incorporate exercise into a paleo diet while still eating healthy food.
