What is the Best milk for Keto?
We like to drink a tall glass of milk along with our Keto PBJ, and then splash it on Magic Spoon Keto cereal.
Keto Diets require a great deal of planning. You have to consider the food you choose, the bread you use for sandwiches and so much more.
It's not necessary to ruin your Low-Carb Diet by drinking a high-carbohydrate milk. This is why I am here to help you determine What's the Best Milk for Keto.
How many [TAG143] are in milk?
You may be disappointed with the answer if you are on a Keto Diet.
Whole milk contains 12 grams of carbohydrates per 8-ounce glass. Whole milk isn't a keto-friendly option, and it's certainly not the best choice if you are counting carbs for your keto diet.
Can you have heavy cream on Keto?
Heavy cream is an excellent keto milk alternative if you're able to consume cow's dairy. However, it does not have the same taste and mouthfeel because it's so creamy. It's also high in fat.
Heavy cream is the ideal keto milk for people who are on a therapeutic ketogenic diet that allows only 20 grams per day of carbohydrates.

You can still drink keto milk if you are on a Dairy-Free Diet.
You can replace milk with low-carb alternatives to keto.
Is Almond milk Keto?
Almond milk is my favorite milk for the Keto diet. It's my favourite because it has a low-carb profile and a great taste.
Almond milk has many benefits. Almond milk has many benefits. It is vegan, dairy-free and low in carbs.
Almond milk is high in a variety of nutrients, including:
- Vitamin E
- Calcium
- Potassium
You can make homemade almond milk if you want to.
The leftover pulp from almond milk can be used in a variety of low-carb recipes.
Shelf-Stable Almond Milk: Low-Carb or not?
Do almond milks need to be kept in the fridge? Yes, it is.
You can't buy shelf-stable milk in a container. After opening the carton, it will lose its vacuum-packed seal. It should be placed in the fridge immediately.
You may have guessed that I am a big fan of almondmilk.

If you want to avoid a spike in blood sugar, make sure that the almond milk is unsweetened.
Sweetened almonds milk is not keto-friendly.
Coconut Milk Keto?
Coconut milk is a great keto-friendly option. Be sure to purchase unsweetened coconut cream.
Is Canned Coconut Milk Keto Friendly?
You can use coconut milk in a can if you are on the Keto diet, as long as you don't sweeten it.
Most of my recipes, such as Paleo Pumpkin Pie or 3-Ingredient keto chocolate pudding, call for canned coconut milk.
Coconut milk is also used in my favorite low-carb keto recipes, such as Low-Carb Creamsicle Ice Cream or Vegan Mint Chip Ice Cream.
Coconut Milk in the Carton Keto Friendly?
Coconut milk in a carton, as long as it is unsweetened and not sweetened with sugar or other sweeteners, makes a great keto milk.
This is great in both our Magic Spoon Cereal and Ginger Licorice tea.
This coconut milk is used by my husband for his morning coffee. I use it to make Dandelion Coffee, because it is so creamy. It reminds me of when I drank coffee with heavy cream.
My body no longer tolerates caffeine.
The keto diet has been a great fit for me as I have become more mature.
Is Oatmilk Good for Keto?
When my boys come home, I always keep oatmilk in the fridge. They claim it tastes great.
I've even had some of their friends ask me: "Is oatmilk dairy-free?" It's so creamy, people cannot tell the difference between it and cow's dairy.
I don't drink oat milk for several reasons.
After being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, in 1998, I started a Gluten Free Diet. When that didn't work I then went onto a grain free Paleo Diet.
Since I haven't had grains for decades, oatmilk is not an alternative. It is also a high-carb beverage, so it's a no-no.
Is oatmilk a keto-friendly product? No. Oat milk does not fit into the keto diet.

Some people are extremely lactose intolerant, and they should avoid dairy products. Alternatively, moderate amounts of goat or sheep's milk byproducts can usually be tolerated by those who aren't affected by lactose intolerance but still want to stay relatively true to their paleolithic roots.
Many vegan options are available if you want to enjoy cheese more often on a paleo diet without using any cow's dairy. These foods allow vegans to enjoy some cheese without having to compromise their values or preferences.
Can you drink coffee on paleo?
It is possible to drink coffee on a paleo diet, surprising as it may sound. Coffee is an excellent source of antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins that isn't part of the hunter/gatherer lifestyle.
Coffee is a delicious addition to any meal when consumed without dairy or sweeteners. This is great news, as caffeine has many health advantages, including increased physical performance and mental alertness, as well reduced risk of certain diseases, such Parkinson's disease and type-2 diabetes.
Paleo-followers don't need to restrict coffee. Unsweetened, prepared with cashew or almond milk and not with dairy products, you can still enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Have fun experimenting with different flavours from various regions around the world!

Are you unsure if the paleo diet is right for you? You want to see if what your doing is delivering results. Measurements and attentiveness are key.
Start by accessing your progress with baseline assessments, taking measurements such as body fat inches, weight, cardio levels, etc. Then use these individual metrics to compare over time with how your body is developing and changing - this way, you know what's working for you and what might need to be changed.
In addition to measurements, take the time to tune into how you feel physically and mentally. Notice any changes that occur since the beginning of the diet or after it has been started. It is common for people trying a new diet like the paleo to experience a sudden surge in energy and weight loss. If you don't pay attention to the subtle signals in your body you could miss important information about whether or you should continue along that path.
Finally, to get a solid idea of whether or not something is working, speak with trusted professionals like personal trainers and nutritionists. These people will be more than willing help you gain an objective perspective on your health goals.
