There are many brands of vegan cream cheese available today. Even Philadelphia offers a plant-based version! You can also choose from Miyoko's Daiya Violife Tofutti Kite Hill and Daiya.
How to Make Strawberry Cream Pie
How to make strawberry cream pie
Prepare the cream cheese mixture. Beat the vegan cream, powdered icing sugar and vanilla extract with a hand-held mixer until smooth.
Mash up the strawberries. 1 cup strawberries should be mashed until the texture is like jam.
Filling. Fold the strawberries into the cream-cheese mixture.
Assemble. Spread the strawberry jam evenly on top of the cream strawberry filling. Place the remaining strawberries in halves or quarters over the strawberry jam layer. Then, add the remaining whipped topping.
Chill. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

Here are some simple tips that will ensure your vegan strawberry cream pies turn out perfectly:
- Use an cooled pie crust. You'll want to cool the pie crust completely before you add the filling if you are baking it yourself.
- Soften the cream cheese first. It will be easier to combine with the other ingredients in the filling and the pie will have a smoother texture.
- Be patient. Let the pie cool before cutting it. If you are waiting for a strawberry cream pie it can be hard to wait, but cutting it too early will cause it to lose its shape.
Variations
Replace the fresh strawberries and strawberry jam with fresh raspberries and raspberry jam for a raspberry cream tart. Try making this recipe with peach jam and fresh peaches!

Ingredients
- 1 vegan crust baked, completely cooled
- 8 ounces vegan cream cheese softened (226 grams)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 grams
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar 42 grams
- 1 cup vegan whipped cream 240 grams + more for optional topping
- 1 16 ounce package of fresh strawberries (453 grams)
- 1/4 cup vegan strawberry jam 78 grams
Instructions

Use a hand-mixer to smooth out the vegan cream, sugar powder, and vanilla extract in a bowl.

Add the vegan whipped crème and 1 cup of mashed strawberries to the cream-cheese mixture. Fold all ingredients together.

Fill the pie crust with the strawberry cream.

Spread the strawberry jam evenly on top of your filling.

Place the rest of the strawberries, cut into halves or quarters, on top of the jam and filling.
